FGCU Library is open to the general public. Exhibit spaces and physical collections can be browsed by all guests. Guest logins may be required to use library computers or electronic resources if you are not an FGCU affiliate and can be requested at the Circulation Desk.

Only currently enrolled FGCU students, active faculty and staff are allowed remote access to electronic resources (databases, ejournals, ebooks, etc.) because these are services contracted and licensed for FGCU affiliates only.

Non-affiliate SW Florida residents may apply for borrowing privileges to check physical books out of the library. A photo ID and proof of residence in the surrounding five county area is needed to apply for borrowing privileges. Non-affiliate SWF resident (community borrower) forms are available online.

Students from other Florida public universities and community colleges have borrowing privileges at FGCU and all state universities. They must present their university ID and be in good standing with their home institution when requesting privileges.
