Q. What environmental initiatives does Library Technology engage in?

Since January 2007, the Library computers have been configured to automatically shut-down or go into a low power state during periods the library is closed. In addition, since late 2008 the library labs have used 100% recycled paper.  Recently we have extended the 100% recycled paper use to library faculty and staff as well. Since 2010, other recycling programs are continuing to spread throughout the Library Technology spaces such as "paper mining" - the re-use of scrap paper, and the responsible sustainable disposal of all toner cartridges and electronics.
