Yes! You can use the "Cite It" browser extension (for Chrome and Edge) and/or bookmarklet to easily grab information from websites and add it to one of your reading lists. 

In Leganto, go to the settings menu and click on Cite It. You'll see that Cite It is available as a Chrome extension and as a Bookmarklet.

To install the Chrome browser extension:

You can install it by searching for Leganto Cite it! Bookmarking Tool on the Chrome Extensions Web Store, or from https://chromewebstore.google.com/.

To use Cite it! with Leganto:

  1. After adding Cite it! as a browser extension, right-click the Cite it! extension icon CiteIt extension icon., and select Options.
  2. If you have not already copied the institution info from Leganto, copy it from the Cite it installation page.
  3. Enter the Leganto URL for the extension and select Save. A confirmation is displayed indicating that the settings are saved.

    Once you have configured Cite it!, you can use it to add items to Leganto. Log in to Leganto (if you are not already logged in, you are prompted to do so), and select the Cite it! extension icon CiteIt extension icon. from the web page you want to add to Leganto. The Cite it! form is displayed with the reference's metadata.

 

To install the bookmarklet:

The option to install the Bookmarklet is available in a dedicated section on the Cite it! window. In Leganto, go to the settings menu and click on Cite It.  Select "Bookmarklet" as your installation option and the instructions will appear on the screen.
