Q. How can I read a library ebook that downloads in an ePUB format?

Some ebooks provided by the library may only be available to read in an EPUB format. EPUB file formats do require a special reader program, like Adobe Digital Editions to open them. Fortunately, Adobe Digital Editions is free to the public and available for FGCU students, staff, and faculty to easily install on FGCU computers.

To download on a personally owned computer:

Go to the Adobe Digital Editions downloads page and find the installer for your OS (Mac or Windows).

To download on a personal mobile device:

Go to the App Store or Google Play store and search for "Adobe Digital Editions."

To download on a FGCU-owned Windows computer:

Go to the search box in the bottom taskbar on your computer and search for "software center." Open the Software Center. It may ta a few moment for the content to load in the Software Center. Search in the top right corner of the Software Center for "Adobe Digital Editions." The app should appear. Click on it to open details and click the Install button.
