Someone (librarian or other instructor) has already made a reading list that I want to make available in my Canvas course. What do I do?

First, make sure you have access to the reading list you want to add to your course. If someone else has prepared a list for you, the only way for you to get access to that list is if that person has added you as a collaborator on the list.
To associate a reading list with a Canvas course start by going to the library website to access the reading list platform (Leganto) directly. Click into the Search menu and find "Course Reading Lists." You will be asked to sign in with your FGCU credentials.
This will bring you to a place where you can access all of the lists you manage and edit, including those on which you have been added as a collaborator. Find the list that you want to add to the course. Click the three dots menu to the right of the list title. Click on "Manage Link to Course."
Start typing the name or CRN of the course (CRN is recommended, since that will be unique). If there are multiple courses that match your CRN, they may be from different terms. Check the year/semester code (Example, 202401 is Spring 2024, 202405 is Summer 2024, and 202408 is Fall 2024) to make sure you select the correct term. Once you have found the correct course, just click on it and the list will now be attached to that course.
