Eagle Search is FGCU's name for the new library catalog and resource discovery platform that will arrive on July 13. Eagle Search will allow you to search through library books, ebooks, articles, streaming videos, and special collections all at the same time with powerful relevance ranking and an intuitive interface.

The FGCU University Library, along with all 28 Florida colleges and 12 universities will be implementing a next generation integrated library system (ILS) this summer using Ex Libris' Alma and Primo VE.

This new upgrade will:

  • Deliver faster and expanded access to materials across all Florida institutions and improve the users experience for students, faculty and staff.
  • Change how the library catalog and discovery search looks and functions. Individual databases will not be impacted.
  • Improve library staff's ability to find track and share materials, to process requests for new acquisitions, and to analyze usage.
  • Allow you to log in to save your research preferences to create a personalized search experiences, and save your items in your eShelf and easily export to Zotero or EndNote.
