ScholarsCommons can collect and display many different types of research outputs including articles, conference presentations, conference papers, books, book chapters, whitepapers, reports, and datasets, all of which can be added by faculty members. Supported Content Types

The following content types are among those that will be accepted (file sizes up to 500MB); please note that submitted works will all be reviewed to verify if copyright will permit public display on the site. For any questions regarding whether or not a specific work can be displayed as well as alternatives, you may contact Research Systems & Librarian Kaleena Rivera (krivera@fgcu.edu). The list of scholarly or creative work that can be added includes (but is not limited to):

  • Publications (including preprints/author-accepted manuscripts)
  • Theses/Dissertations
  • Creative work, e.g. musical scores, image-based works (paintings, sculptures, etc.), scripts, poetry, choreography, design/architecture, exhibition catalogs, etc.
  • Working papers and technical reports
  • White papers
  • Datasets
  • Patents
  • Conference presentations/posters
  • Course-based publications
  • Audio and video recordings
